Willow’s first birthday had a Cupcakes and Champagne theme!
Lots of friends and family came down to Cirencester, for many the first time they had seen Willow.
The birthday girl enjoyed her cupcake, but seemed to prefer the wrapping paper to the presents!
Her dress matched mummy’s very nicely, but she was quite happy standing with Grandpa in the corner and watching everyone. I don’t think she had ever seen so many people in the house.
Autumn & Winter 2009 was a busy time for us, getting ready for our move to Canada and also Willow proofing the house as she became increasingly mobile.

Most of our possessions fitted into 17 of these boxes, and Willow was very keen to help.
After a hectic first six months Willow is settling into a good routine.
She got the first stamp in her passport when we visited the States last month and is just starting on solid food. Vix has been posting a lot of photos on facebook (see links below right) so I have been a little tardy in getting some posted here.

I am due to fly back from overseas a week or so before the baby is due, so hopefully he/she will not be in too much of a hurry to make an appearance!
Once I am home I’ll be there for Christmas and the New Year.
We are now all settled back in the UK, renting a place in Cirencester, which is a lovely market town in the Cotswolds.
It is very nice to be back in the UK, with all the convenience that goes with it compared to France, and there’s even meant to be a good chance of a white Christmas this year.

As you may have noticed the posts here have dried up a little.
In my defence it has been a very busy few months, I have started a new job, Vix is expecting a baby and we are moving back to the UK in September.
We will try to post a little more regularly as time permits.
