Our Honeymoon

Straight after the wedding we headed off for 10 days on the island of Lohifushi in the Maldives. It was a bit of a long flight but was definitely worth the trip.

The diving was very good we did 10 dives over the 10 days we were there and were lucky to get very close to some amazing creatures like Manta rays. The largest rays had wingspans of close to 10 feet and came within a couple of feet of us.

We hired a digital camera with waterproof housing and took it with us one day.

As well as the rays there were all kinds of amazing fish life, sharks and turtles. We would definitely recommend the Maldives, and Lohifushi if you would like to try diving.

The  water was not quite as clear as some spots, like the Bahamas, but the sea life was a lot better.

We did manage to spend some time above water and went surfing a few times. The surf stayed small but the water was lovely and warm and the waves were not too crowded, especially when we took a boat to one of the breaks a bit further from the island.

Each evening we would generally kick back with a cocktail and enjoy the sunset.

On our final night the waiter decorated our table for us.
