Winter 2004-5

At the end of the summer Vix and I took some holiday time whilst Dream headed over to Florida.
Vix and I spent a little time in France and the Uk, before flying to Ft Lauderdale.
Whilst in Ft Lauderdale Vix took part in three triathlons, improving with each one and coming 13th, 10th and 8th overall, as well as winning her age group in each event.
At the beginning of October our good friends Ben and Kathy got married. A few days before the big day, Ben and the guys went out for an evening of go-kart racing and mischief whilst the girls had champagne and caviar by the pool.

Autumn in Ft Lauderdale is always a good time to catch up with friends from different boats as well as those who live there. Here Adam and Craig hang out on the porch at Heathers house. Below; Helios in the yard in Miami.

Caribbean 2004-5

Once Dream arrived in Ft Lauderdale we got the boat ready and headed south to St Maarten and the St Maarten Charter Show.
The show finished on a Sunday and that morning there was a Triathlon held on the island. Vix entered and came second overall in the womens event.
The start was at sunrise!
Later that day there was an afternoon of Crew games and events at the marina where we were docked. The 'Dream' crew entered the tug-of-war amongst other things and won several prizes.

In between Charters and owners trips we had a few days off in St Maarten. This little island in the Caribbean has been where we have spent our winters for the last two years, and we have got to know it pretty well. The marina's were packed this year as what seemed like half the yachts in the industry sat here between trips.
Here one of the largest yachts in the world "Annalisse' squeezes through the bridge at Simpson Bay. They only lost a little paint.
Below 'Dream' passing the Queen Mary, and a 747 landing at St Maarten International.
